Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms apply when you engage Scalesites to design, build or host your website. We've kept them plain and fair — the same way we run everything else.
Our services
Scalesites designs and builds websites for trades and local businesses, and offers optional ongoing hosting and management. The specifics of what's included are described on our website and confirmed in your enquiry.
Quotes, previews and pricing
Our build prices are flat and shown upfront: $500 for a 3-page site and $750 for a 5-page site at the time of writing. Larger or custom websites are quoted before any work begins.
We provide a free preview of your site before you pay. If you're not happy with the preview, you're under no obligation to proceed and you owe us nothing.
Payment
Build fees are payable once you approve your preview and ask us to proceed. We begin the full build after payment is received. Optional hosting and management is billed monthly.
Your responsibilities
To build your site we need content from you — such as your business details, services, and any photos or logos. You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to use the content you provide and that it is accurate.
Ownership
Once your build is paid in full, the website, its content and your domain are yours. There are no lock-in contracts, and we will hand over what you need if you ever choose to move elsewhere.
Hosting and management
Our hosting and management plan is optional and month-to-month. You can cancel at any time, and there is no lock-in. If you cancel, you keep your website and can host it wherever you like.
Revisions and go-live
Each build includes a set number of revision rounds (two on the 3-page site, three on the 5-page site). We won't take your site live until you're happy with it. Go-live typically occurs within two weeks of payment, subject to receiving your content and domain access.
Liability
We take care to deliver a quality website, but to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of your website. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
